Oneida County Executive Anthony J. Picente, Jr. today announced that Oneida County has enhanced its Internet presence with a newly redesigned Web site. The address of www.ocgov.net does not change.

The redesigned website is easier to navigate and more user friendly, said Oneida County Executive Anthony Picente Jr. We are always looking toward promoting greater interaction between the County and its constituencies, and this is an important piece of that interaction.

In addition to public communications from various County Departments, ocgov.net also offers employment opportunities, health alerts, property tax rolls, real property information, defensive driving courses, health immunization clinics, and scheduling information for legislative meetings.

As Internet use has grown, we have worked to adapt our web site to enhance e-government opportunities that can save county residents a trip to the county building, while also working to make the site attractive and promote some of the great things about Oneida County. Picente noted that the county web sites home page has information about local Farmers Markets across the area, and that the site features photos of attractions from around the county.
