Posted: November 23, 2010
Oneida County Executive Anthony J. Picente, Jr., announced today that the flags at Oneida County’s buildings will be lowered to half staff through Monday in honor of Richard A. Fahy, a former Oneida County Commissioner of Finance, who died on November 20th.
“Richard Fahy was a dedicated public servant,” Picente said. “He served his country in the United States Air Force, and brought his knowledge and professionalism to serve Oneida County in the role of Commissioner of Finance. Richard was also very active in a number of volunteer organizations. We are lowering the flags for these next few days to honor Richard and his vast service to our country, our county, and our community.”
