Oneida County Sidewalk Art Contest Youth Winners Announced

65 participated in Munson-Williams-Proctor Institute event

The winners of the Ninth Annual Oneida County Youth Bureau Sidewalk Art Contest have been announced.

The event took place July 13 at Munson-Williams-Proctor Arts Institute in Utica. Sixty-five county youth participated through various agencies.

“This popular and fun event gives our youth the opportunity to showcase their artistic talents and serves as a fantastic opportunity for them to experience one of the jewels of Oneida County— the Munson-Williams-Proctor Art Institute,” said Oneida County Executive Anthony J. Picente Jr. “Our Youth Bureau continues to work with municipalities, agencies and school districts to provide safe, positive and innovative programming, striving to find each child’s niche where he or she can be successful.”

This year’s winners were:

Ages 5-7

  • Gold: Piper Casella (Our Lady of Lourdes)
  • Silver: Tristan Zawada  (Our lady of Lourdes)
  • Bronze: Joh'Naejianna Linen (Thea Bowman House)

Ages 8-10

  • Gold: Joseph Carbone (Our Lady of Lourdes)
  • Silver: Olivia Flo (Our Lady of Lourdes)
  • Bronze: Luke Gilbert (MWPAI)

Ages 11-13

  • Gold: Isabella Palladino (Walk In)
  • Silver: Skyler Wells (Our Lady of Lourdes)
  • Bronze: Avery Richardson (MWPAI)

Ages 14-18

  • Gold: Jowann Salvo (Salvation Army of Utica)
