Substance Use Prevention

Substance Use Prevention, also known as drug abuse prevention, is a process that attempts to prevent the onset of substance use or limit the development of problems associated with using psychoactive's substances. Prevention efforts may focus on the individual or their surroundings. To assist in substance abuse prevention individuals can reduce the availability of excess to prescription medications by removing them from your home when no longer needed by the person they are prescribed for, as well as keeping an inventory of what you have in your medicine cabinet.
