District Attorney McNamara: Drug Task Force makes arrests in Utica
Oneida County District Attorney Scott D. McNamara announced today that on March 11, 2009, while in the area of Third Avenue in the City of Utica, members of the Oneida County Drug Task Force assisted by the Utica Police Patrol Division observed two subjects engaged in what appeared to be a hand to hand drug transaction.
One suspect was stopped as he left on foot and was found to possess a quantity of Heroin. The second suspect who left in a vehicle was located in a driveway and was also found to be in possession of Heroin.
Investigators seized 210 bags of Heroin and $100.00 cash.
Both suspects, Jorge A. Lozada-Sanchez, DOB 06-02-1981 of 1314 Dudley Avenue, Utica, NY and Jorge L. Lozada, DOB 04-27-1980, of 1403 Dudley Avenue, Utica, NY were charged with Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 3rd Degree, a Class B Felony and Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 7th Degree a Class A Misdemeanor.
