  Program Description
The Rutger Street Community Residence Program is a halfway house that provides a transitional living environment for men returning to the community from in-patient and out-patient rehabilitation facilities. The program focuses on restoring and building health, independence, and productive lifestyles, following the normally prescribed mutual help model of treatment. Following this model, the Community Residence Program provides an alcohol/drug-free recovery process. The establishment and attainment of these personal objectives will allow individuals in recovery to maintain sobriety and to work toward becoming self-supporting and productive members of their community. The goal of the program is to provide individuals with a homelike, alcohol/drug-free environment together with access to a full range of alcohol treatment, educational, vocational, social and self-help services needed to maintain abstinence and successful sobriety.
