Purchasing Department

The principal objective of the division of purchasing is to provide all Oneida County departments with the goods and services necessary to accomplish their functions.  We strive to meet this objective while obtaining the best possible price, stimulating the local economy by distributing procurement dollars to a broad group of vendors, and insuring that proper procedures, as prescribed by state law and county charter, are followed.  We also act as a source of information and assistance to town and village purchasing officials.

 

For the duration of the State of Emergency enacted by Governor Cuomo and County Executive Picente, all Public Works Department bid openings will be conducted via Facebook. Furthermore, in accordance with New York State Executive orders enacted to address the COVID‐19 Outbreak, bidders will not be allowed to attend the bid opening. The bid opening will be streamed live on Facebook at https://www.facebook.com/Oneida‐County‐DPW‐Bids‐108692004107599/ approximately fifteen (15) minutes following specified bid receipt date/time.
