Overview

The Real Estate Division of the Finance Department is responsible for tax foreclosure proceedings and the disposition of all property acquired by the County as a result of unpaid taxes.  Contact is established with delinquent taxpayers, notifying them and all lien and judgment holders of final rights to redeem.  The Real Estate Division investigates back taxes in each district, records the transfer of title for all real property acquired for taxes, offers acquired parcels at public auction, maintains records of delinquent taxpayers, and is responsible for all tax advertising pursuant to statute.

Properties Available for Offer

The County of Oneida is accepting offers on the following properties.  The County will review offers on these properties made in writing that are presented at the Department of Finance.  All offers are subject to the Oneida County Board of Legislators approval.  Do not make any offer on any property without completely researching the property.  The Commissioner or his Deputy maintains the right to reject any offer.  Upon approval a quitclaim deed will be filed and the cost of the filing paid by the new owner.  Any questions please call the Department of Finance at (315) 798-5760.
